My children know the effect of drug use and alcoholism because they have seen how these ruin the lives of their friends but we can never be lax on this. Anything can happen. We trust our children but with everything that’s been happening around us, it’s so hard to trust. The parents of my niece and nephew have been so frustrated and depressed because they can’t help but blame themselves for what’s happening. I told them that we’ll go through this together and after everything, things will be back to its old self. We just have to learn our lesson on this and move on. We can’t continue on blaming each other for what happened. In life, we face problems that teach us how to be stronger and become a better person.
