OpenBook OpenBook is a reading and discussion program that provides books and discussion leaders to non-profit groups across the state. Program sponsors simply choose a thematic series, normally comprising five to six books, or design their own reading series from the over 100 titles in our catalog. Program coordinators set up a schedule and coordinate with Humanities Montana to select a discussion leader or leaders, then fill out a simple, one-page application. Humanities Montana provides books and study guides and covers the discussion leader’s honoraria and expenses. The program is easy to apply for and costs communities only the expense of organization and meeting space. The linked pages below provide a catalog of available books (including some titles available from other libraries in the state), the application form and instructions for project coordinators, discussion guides, and an application for those interested in serving as discussion leaders. If you have any questions you can contact Kim Anderson or call 1-800-624-6001.
